The Audi RS5 Avant (2026) marks a major shift for Audi Sport, introducing plug-in hybrid technology to the RS lineup for the first time. Built on the new A5 platform, it replaces the RS4 Avant and continues Audi’s tradition of high-performance wagons, now with electrified power.
Under the hood, it combines a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor, producing a total of around 630–639 horsepower and over 800 Nm of torque. Power is delivered through Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system, now enhanced with advanced torque vectoring for improved agility and stability. The result is strong performance, with 0–100 km/h in about 3.6–3.9 seconds.
The plug-in hybrid system not only boosts performance but also adds efficiency, offering an electric driving range of up to around 80 km, making it usable as a daily driver with reduced emissions.
Chassis upgrades include a sport-tuned suspension, wider track, and improved rear differential, giving the RS5 Avant sharper handling than its predecessor. Despite the added weight from the hybrid system, it remains a highly capable performance wagon.
Visually, the 2026 model features a more aggressive design with flared wheel arches, a wide stance, large air intakes, and signature RS styling details. Inside, it adopts a modern digital cockpit with multiple displays, combining performance-focused features with premium comfort and practicality.
Overall, the Audi RS5 Avant (2026) blends electrified performance with everyday usability, offering supercar-like acceleration in a practical estate format.
