The Bugatti Veyron, introduced in 2005, is one of the most groundbreaking hypercars ever built. Developed under Volkswagen Group ownership, it was created with the goal of becoming the fastest and most powerful production car in the world at the time.
At its heart is an 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing 1,001 horsepower and 1,250 Nm of torque in the original Veyron 16.4. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 407 km/h (253 mph). Later versions, such as the Super Sport, increased output to 1,200 horsepower and pushed the top speed even higher.
The Veyron features advanced aerodynamics with an adaptive rear wing that adjusts for downforce and air braking. Despite its extreme performance, it was engineered to deliver luxury and everyday usability, offering a refined interior with premium materials and meticulous craftsmanship.
The Bugatti Veyron redefined what was possible for a road car and set new standards in engineering, speed, and exclusivity, paving the way for its successor, the Chiron.
